Since 2020, there has been a rise in people who have started following their passion. The number of small businesses has grown across the world and if you are one amongst them, CONGRATULATIONS because you’ve taken the first step in starting something. Now all you have to do is grow and keep holding on…
One downside to this ‘Small business rise’ is that the competition has increased and so has the need to stay in trend. What better than being a trend starter?
Here are 4 ways to grow your small business digitally.
1. Create a Website
Creating a website takes less than a day with the advancement of technology.
With websites like Shopify or Wix, you can choose a free theme, list your products, edit the design and add a payment platform. If you are looking for design motivation, then all you have to do look at different websites in your same domain and understand how they created and chose the theme. Compare websites, mix and match the layouts and you’ll be good to go. If you are in the gifting field, so am I, and you can always check out my website – Leoberry Gifts.
I chose wordpress and it took me about a week for customisation and I literally have no design knowledge and did it for the first time ever! So trust me when I say that anyone can create a website.
2. Manage your Socials well
Social Media platform like Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Linkedin, Youtube etc, are important to grow. If you are starting out, you don’t need a social media manager. You can take a course online, on Udemy or any other platform that you like and understand the basics of growing your social. Show the real- you and the reality of growing a brand and people love that! They will relate because most of them have a small business or dream about it.
You don’t have to show up everyday, even 2-3 posts a week are more than enough – anything that suits your business type. Learn to be patient and the results will pour in. Social Media has become a great channel for growth and it will continue to be so.
3. Try Influencer Marketing
Influencer Marketing is the trend of 2024 and will continue being the trend of 2025 too. What people see their favourite influencers endorse, they will purchase (usually), or at least they’ll remember the products or brand name. Isn’t it a great tactic. Now, with the rise in social media usage, there are thousands of influencers, and it’s important to choose who has a follower base that will be more inclined to buy your product. With a little research about the type of content they post, their engagements and followers, you can understand whether the influencer will be perfect for your business or not.
4. Have an ad strategy or Marketing strategy in place
Understand what is working for your business. Initially for 4-5 months of your ad planning – focus on what you know best. Then compare your business with your competitors who are outperforming you. This will help you understand what’s working for them and what’s not. You’ll have a strategy that will work for you.
Growing your business takes time and effort. When you’ve taken a big leap – started your business; what’s stopping you from growing it. Believe and it’ll happen!
